The Cloisters is a great place when wanting to escape life in the city, and seek some peace of mind. It really is a different world when entering Fort Tryon Park in upper Manhattan, and this gem of a place boasts European landscape and medieval European architecture. The Cloisters overlooks the Hudson River, and within the museum consists of twelfth through fifteenth century art work. It's a perfect place for a weekend retreat.
